Who Did Rosita See At The End Of The Walking Dead?
Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 14 follow. The Walking Dead's The Other Side episode [...]
Daryl Dixon
The go-to conclusion when for a figure of a long-haired individual with a crossbow strapped to their shoulder in the world of The Walking Dead is Daryl Dixon.
The last time Daryl was seen in The Walking Dead's The Other Side episode, he grabbed Jesus at the Hilltop and asked where Sasha and Rosita went. He appeared to have realized that they went out on a mission which was kept a secret for a reason. It is unlikely that Jesus lied to Daryl in an effort to cover for the two characters.
Furthermore, Daryl would not have his bow drawn upon finding Rosita. There is no reason for him to be aiming at a friend which gives a little credibility to the theory that Daryl is watching her.
However, Daryl is very uptight and gaurded, especially after his imprisonment at Negan's Sanctuary. It's unlikely the character would stroll through any area of the apocalypse without his bow drawn, especially when he is nearing enemy territory.
After all, why would Daryl hide from Rosita? He could simply approach her and offer help or insist she come back to the Hilltop. Which means it was probably someone else...

The most likely candidate to have been spying on Rosita is Dwight of the Saviors.
Dwight, however, is likely not out to kill Rosita while she, on the other hand, would kill him upon spotting him. Offering the illusion that he is Daryl provides the opportunity to explain himself to Rosita after she was present for when he killed Denise.
Dwight's bow is not drawn, indicating he feels safe and is also not an enemy.
In The Walking Dead comics, Dwight outs himself as a traitor to Negan. If this does turn out to be Dwight's big betrayal reveal, it will have gone down differently in the TV adaptation but stayed true to the core story. In the comics, King Ezekiel introduces Dwight as a traitor on his Kingdom stage. Rick is reluctant to trust Dwight but the Saviors proves himself.
"I would love to do that, man," Dwight actor Austin Amelio told ComicBook.com about the betrayal story arc. "Are you kidding me? That would be great. Of course. I think he's going to do whatever he can do in order to hang onto Sherry in this moment in time. Betraying Negan or coming into power of some sorts would be a pretty epic maneuver if he can pull it off. I would love to see the emotion going through him if that were to happen, if it does happen."
ComicBook.com asked Amelio if it was, in fact, his character who Rosita encountered at the end of the episode. For his answer, click here!
In the TV series, Dwight reached his breaking point when Sherry fleed the Sanctuary. Finding their old house with a note from his ex-wife pushed him over the edge. If anything is going to spark the sudden change of heart in Negan's trusted Savior, it's the loss of Sherry.
