It sounds like one of Riverdale's most beloved duos might get into some trouble in season two.

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Lili Reinhart was asked about a possible fight between Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) in the show's sophomore season. As she explained, the newest batch of episodes will allow the show to dive into Betty and Veronica's dynamic in a new way.

"Well, with any friendship there's gonna be fights." Reinhart explained. "Season one wasn't too focused on Betty and Veronica and their relationship. It was a little bit more about the murder mystery. In season two, we see a little bit more into their friendship and their relationship, the good parts and the bad parts."

So should fans brace themselves for an inevitable tiff between the iconic Archie Comics do? Reinhart hinted that it could happen.

"And at the end of the day, when it comes to Betty and Veronica fighting, you have these two women who are so opposite in a lot of different ways," said Reinhart. "The nature of that causes quarreling sometimes."

But don't worry, Reinhart reassured that B & V's relationship can endure whatever life throws at them.

"They're never, I don't think, ever going to hate each other." Reinhart added. "They're never going to be frenemies, or have cat fights all the time, and, especially not over a guy. There are going to be be fights and challenges that come their way. But they overcome it, because they're Betty and Veronica. And, they're invincible."

Fans can see what's next for Betty and Veronica when Riverdale season two premieres Wednesday, October 11th, at 8/7c on The CW.
