Riverdale might not share a universe with the rest of The CW's shows, but tonight's episode featured a cameo from one The Flash alum.

Spoilers for tonight's episode of Riverdale, "Chapter Twenty: Tales From The Darkside", below.

Tonight's episode follows three vignettes centered around the show's ensemble of Archie Comics characters. The first one followed Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) and Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), who were tasked with doing a drug delivery for Penny Peabody (Brit Morgan).

In the middle of transporting a crate of drugs from Riverdale to Greendale, Archie's truck ended up getting a flat tire. They soon were approached by a stranger (played by Tony Todd), who offered to give Jughead a ride to Greendale. While The CW viewers might not instantly recognize Todd's face, they probably know his voice, as the voice of The Flash's Season Two big bad Zoom.

As The Flash fans will remember, Zoom's identity was a pretty significant mystery, with the evil speedster being completely concealed by his costume. While Zoom was ultimately unmasked as Jay Garrick/Hunter Zolomon (Teddy Sears), Todd voiced the character whenever he was in costume, and earned plenty of fans by doing so.

Aside from The Flash, Todd has quite a filmography to his name. The actor is best known by horror fans by playing The Candyman, and has also appeared on Chuck, The Young and the Restless, and 24.

Interestingly, Todd isn't the only Arrowverse alum to make their way into the episode. While Brit Morgan might be playing Penny Peabody throughout Riverdale's second season, she's previously played Leslie Willis/Livewire, one of Supergirl's regular antagonists. Considering the fact that this week is also The CW's "Crisis on Earth-X" Arrowverse crossover, that's a pretty great coincidence.

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
