Even a five year break couldn't stop Brock Lesnar from dominating in the octogon. The former UFC and WWE Champion beat Mark Hunt in the co-main event at UFC 200. Lesnar won via judge's decision after taking Hunt down in the first and third rounds. Lesnar particularly exerted his will in the third round by taking Hunt down and punching him repeatedly in the head for nearly three minutes.

Lesnar started his fighting career as an amateur wrestler, winning the NCAA Heavyweight Wrestling Championship as a senior at the University of Minnesota. He transitioned into professional wrestling, becoming a popular draw in the WWE until he left during a contract dispute.

After a brief stay in Japan to wrestle for the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion, Lesnar transitioned into mixed martial arts. Lesnar won the UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 91 from Randy Couture and unified the belt with the Interim Heavyweight Championship against Frank Mir in the main event of UFC 100, which up to tonight was the biggest PPV in UFC history.

Unfortunately, Lesnar's MMA career was cut short due to diverticulitis, an intestinal disorder, and he retired in 2011 after a controversial loss to Alistair Overeem. He returned to the WWE in 2012 and became one of the company's biggest draws, headlining Wrestlemania 31 and last year's SummerSlam.

Lesnar was granted a one-time opportunity by the WWE to participate in UFC 200, and was immediately paired with Mark Hunt, one of the top knockout artists in MMA fighting. Lesnar entered as a heavy underdog due to his lengthy time in between matches.

After his UFC victory, Lesnar will now return to a WWE ring. His next match is against Randy Orton at SummerSlam in August.
