Fans were excited to learn that WWE would be splitting up the brands, as in theory it would give superstars buried in the card a chance to shine and get some new life, while also promoting some friendly rivalries within the WWE.

While some of those projects have been more successful than others, there is an overall brand allegiance that is being built, but the process isn't over by a longshot and still needs some time to develop. RAW and NXT announcer Corey Graves spoke to USA Today about the brand split, current expectations, and what is in store for fans.

"I think it's still a work in progress. It takes a long time for fans to get acclimated and understand. Even a lot of hardcore WWE fans are not familiar yet with the brand split. It's going to take longer than 4 months. …"

Some fans are still feeling both shows out. While RAW might have a superstar you root for, Smackdown Live might have better storylines, and vice versa. For instance, the women's division as a whole has been better on Smackdown Live, but the Championship matches between Sasha Banks and Charlotte on RAW have been stellar, so it just depends on what you're looking for.

"As much as it might be storyline, there is still a friendly competition and something to work for" Graves said. "When I went out there as a wrestler, I wanted to make the next guys top what I did, and I think there is the same mentality for both rosters. It's beneficial for the fans. There is going to need more of an adjustment time, but as a whole, it's really exciting."

After a few months of this current roster, don't be surprised to see a trade or two made between the brands to sure up their weaknesses, especially now that they have a few pay-per-views under their belt.

Both brands will collide later this month at Survivor Series, where team Smackdown Live will face team RAW in multiple 5 on 5 elimination matches. For those looking for a good singles altercation, eyes will be on Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg in a long-awaited rematch.
