Trailer For Kevin Owens Documentary Released

Kevin Owens has had quite the career in professional wrestling long before he joined NXT back in August of 2014. That lifelong journey to becoming a WWE superstar will be chronicled in a new WWE documentary titled "Fight Owens Fight".

The new project is heading to retailers this July, and WWE has released a teaser trailer with various glimpses of Owens (formerly Kevin Steen) throughout his career, culminating in his current run as WWE Universal Champion. Owens narrates throughout, saying simply "This is my life. These are my words. This is my story." Owens currently made headlines when he knocked out his former best friend Chris Jericho on an episode of Monday Night RAW. On a recent episode of Stone Cold's podcast, Owens talked about why he felt he needed to do that to his once former friend.

"I don't want to go to deep today here but I will say that it had to happen and it was a long time coming. Just on my end, regardless of the relationship that Chris and I had. I feel like ever since I won the Universal Championship, I really hadn't been myself. I got here by being myself for 16 years. Once I took that title, I feel like I got sidetracked with Chris and it was more about being entertaining and being funny, and kinda popping each other and entertaining each other, just seeing how much fun we could have every Monday night, which is an important part of what we do"

Next up for Owens is WWE Fastlane, where he defends his Universal Championship against Goldberg. You can see the entire announced card below, and Fastlane airs on the WWE Network Sunday, March 5th.
