WWE will start 2017 off with a bang! Tonight, in Chicago, it was made official that Goldberg would be returning to WWE TV next week on the January 2nd edition of RAW. Goldberg's last WWE appearance came the night after he shocked the world by beating Brock Lesnar at the Survivor Series in only 86 seconds.

Goldberg and Brock Lesnar have been the only two entrants announced for the 2017 Royal Rumble and it is likely Goldberg's build to entering the Rumble will largely focus on his rivalry with the Beast Incarnate.

Earlier today, we reported that Goldberg has been signed for 13 appearances and 3 matches between now and Wrestlemania 33. Hopefully, some of the current crop of superstars will get to mix it up with the former WCW legend when he makes his televised return.
