Here's What the Legendary Birds Look Like in Pokemon Go

Other than serving as the mascots for Team Valor, Team Mystic, and Team Instinct, the Legendary Bird trio has been conspicuously absent from Pokemon Go, the hot new mobile app by Nintendo and Niantic Labs. We have our theories about where the Legendary Birds and Mewtwo are hiding in Pokemon Go, but we do know that Niantic has plans for the bird.

A recent datamine of Pokemon Go's newest update revealed Pokedex pictures for Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. The birds don't appear any different than they have in any other Pokemon game, nor are any stats provided, but we now officially know the Legendary trio are there...watching and waiting to appear.

Of course, players who caught a Dratini and looked in the Pokedex probably already knew the Legendary Birds were in the game. Catching a Dratini, Dragonair, or Dragonite reveals all three Legendary Birds' spots (#144-146) in the Pokedex.

You can check out all three Legendary Pokemon in the photo gallery, and be sure to let us know in the comments how you think Pokemon Go will first unveil the Legendary Birds.

Pokemon Go is available in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
