Amber Heard Returning To Gold Coast To Film Aquaman

Most would look at a trip to Austrailia as a pleasant experience, but last time actress Amber heard was there, things did not go smoothly by any means. Now she is set to return to the Gold Coast for Aquaman, and for her sake hopefully it goes smoother than last time around.

The problems started when Heard accompanied husband Johnny Depp while he was filming the most recent Pirates Of The Carribean back in 2014 (via AP News). Heard has two pet Yorkshire terriers named Pistol and Boo, and to get them into the country some immigration documents were falsified. Heard pleaded guilty in a Gold Coast court and eventually had to film a PSA with Depp for the cause.

The bigger concern was that of Australia's Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce, who at the time of the incident was the Agriculture Minister. He was very vocal about the issue at the time, and even threatened to have the dogs euthanized if they didn't leave the country within 72 hours, a deadline that was almost missed.

Heard is now returning to film more footage for her role as Mera in the upcoming James Wan directed Aquaman, and Treasurer Scott Morrison said that as long as the proper quarantine procedures and laws are followed, there should be no repeat problems.

"We will have a home for them if Amber would like to bring them on to the film set," Morrison told reporters.

Aquaman is directed by James Wan with Will Beall, Geoff Johns, Paul Norris, and Mort Weisinger on writing duties. Rob Cowan is serving as executive producer and Deborah Snyder and Zack Snyder serving as producers. The film stars Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Amber Heard (Mera), Patrick Wilson (Orm) and Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko).
