Arrow Episode 15 Title Revealed By Executive Producer

With the start of production on season 5's fifteenth episode, Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim has shared that episode's cover sheet on social media, revealing that the episode's title will be "Fighting Fire With Fire."

And while we all prefer to believe that means Oliver Queen and company will be rocking out to a song by Kansas, the more likely scenario is that after being faced with a series of setbacks, Team Arrow decides to fight Prometheus on his terms.

The episode is written by Speed Weed and Ben Sokolowski, and will be directed by Michael Schultz.

Arrow, which returns with new episodes in two weeks, was recently renewed by The CW, along with its DC Comics stablemates The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl.

Season 5 marks the end of an era for the veteran drama, which has up to now relied on a flashback device informing the current plot by looking back at Oliver Queen's time shipwrecked on an island (or traveling around the world incognito). That device will "expire" at the end of year 5 and producers will have to find some different narrative tools...but at least the flashbacks are going out on a high note, with Rocky IV villain and action movie icon Dolph Lundgren playing a major role in them this season.

Meanwhile in the present day, Team Arrow is struggling to deal with Prometheus, a serial killer and costumed villain who has been targeting Oliver...it now appears for killing his (Prometheus's) father during Arrow's first season, when Green Arrow as just "The Hood" and taking out bad guys from a list of names was his raison d'etre.

The series will also likely have a new face when it returns in season 6; the members of the original Team Arrow have been scattered to the four winds this season, but seem to be playing a bigger and bigger role as the season wears on. Meanwhile, the new recruits will likely not be all gone when the show returns next season.

Arrow airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. "Who Are You?" debuts on January 25, 2017.
