Colton Haynes Teases 'Arrow' Season 6 Return

It looks like one Arrow fan-favorite is headed back into the fold.

Colton Haynes, who portrayed Roy Harper/Arsenal in the hit The CW series, recently teased a return appearance on his Twitter. After one fan lamented about Roy's absence from the series, Colton confirmed that Roy is "coming back very soon".

Roy debuted in Arrow's first season, gradually transforming into Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) vigilante prodigy. Haynes departed the show in Season 3, later revealing that his temporary exit from acting was due to mental health issues. He briefly returned to Arrow, as a brainwashed pawn of Noah Kuttler/The Calculator (Tom Amandes), in one episode of Season 4.

While Team Arrow's roster of characters grew significantly last season, Roy's absence from the show has certainly been felt amongst fans. Even Amell recently revealed that he misses seeing Haynes' "handsome face" every day, and then made a bold claim about his potential return.

"If we end this show, whenever it happens to end, without seeing Roy Harper again, I think we will have made a tragic mistake," Amell revealed.

Fans will have to wait and see exactly how Roy factors into Season 6, and in the team's fight against Richard Dragon (Kirk Acevedo). Maybe he could be behind a certain red-tinted mask?

Arrow premieres on Thursday, October 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
