Arrow: Stephen Amell Teases Prometheus' Savage End Game

04/30/2017 03:28 pm EDT

Arrow's Oliver Queen and his allies have been plagued all season by the villainous Adrian Chase, who initiated his campaign of violence as Prometheus for the majority of the season. The character's identity was a mystery for a majority of the year before he finally revealed himself to Oliver's team, yet he remained untouchable with an airtight alibi and hostages as leverage.

But now that his crimes have been exposed, the former District Attorney is truly unleashed in his plot to destroy Green Arrow, taking on an even more terrifying role as he gleefully torments his enemies.

As the D.A., Chase infiltrated Queen's mayoral cabinet and managed to stay ahead of Star City's finest, and now that his identity as Prometheus has been revealed he doesn't appear to be any less dangerous.

Arrow star Stephen Amell spoke to ComicBook.com reader Michael Leslie at Planet Comicon Kansas City where he revealed that Chase's violent tendencies are only going to get worse for Team Arrow as it barrels toward its fifth season finale, while praising the performance of actor Josh Segarra.

Amell talked about how Prometheus has been a great villain for Green Arrow and his allies, calling Segarra "almost scary good."

When Leslie noted just how savage Chase has been revealed to be, Amell only offered this tease for the remaining episodes:

"Just you wait."

The show has been building toward an inevitable confrontation between Green Arrow and Prometheus with people such as Talia al Ghul, Deathstroke, and Malcom Merlyn likely to get involved as well. The show has tried to show Oliver come to terms with his past and his predilection to kill his enemies, which Chase is punishing him for.

We'll see how it all turns out with only four more episodes left in the season.

The next episode called "Underneath" premieres Wednesday, May 3 at 8p EST on the CW. Read the synopsis below.

OLIVER AND FELICITY ARE TRAPPED - Things get intense when Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are trapped in the bunker together.
