Arrow: Who Is "Missing" In New Synopsis?

The CW has released the official synopsis for "Missing," the penultimate episode of Arrow's fifth season, set to air on May 17.

Black Siren returns, and there's at least two members of Team Arrow who seem likely to be in a very bad place based on context clues in here. Meanwhile, it's Oliver's birthday! What better time to reflect on ten years in various forms of Hell?

The whole thing is wrapped up in a title drawn from a Bruce Springsteen song, as episode 22 has been in each season of Arrow so far.

The episode takes its title from a song prominently featured in Sean Penn's film The Crossing Guard, which starred Jack Nicholson. Penn's previous film, The Indian Runner, was an adaptation of the Springsteen song "Highway Patrolman."

No word yet on who or what is "Missing" in the episode, although it may be Oliver/Green Arrow, particularly since the writers opted for "Missing," rather than "You're Missing," a more popular Springsteen song (which came off the 9/11-themed The Rising album, and was named one of Rolling Stone's hundred best Springsteen songs).

You can check it out below.

Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy) returns to help Chase (Josh Segarra). Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) organizes a birthday party for Oliver (Stephen Amell) while Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is furious after Rene (Rick Gonzalez) misses the custody hearing for his daughter.

Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Oscar Balderrama
