Cat Grant Could Return To Supergirl

There is currently a hole in season 2 of Supergirl where Cat Grant, played by Calista Flockhart, used to be.

Fans miss her sarcastic wit, and of course, her sassy motivational speeches.

In Supergirl season 1, she helped Kara become who she is.

While she did appear in the first few episodes of Supergirl season 2, she hasn't been seen since, handing over the CatCo Worldwide Media empire to Jimmy Olsen - the new CEO.

According to TVLine, Calista Flockhart is currently not scheduled to return to Supergirl, but there is talk of her returning as Cat Grant for a short-term stint in the spring.

Hopefully this means Cat Grant will return for a few episodes!

Supergirl got off to a strong start in its sophomore season, bringing on Superman for an acclaimed two-part story before introducing the President of the United States in the form of Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter.

It kept things moving throughout the first half of the season, rarely coming up for air before getting its biggest ratings of the year -- and bringing The CW its biggest Monday in years -- with last week's midseason finale, which tied into the Invasion! crossover.

There are already some pretty exciting ideas ahead for the second half of the season: Mr. Mxyzptlk is coming to the show, and there's a second crossover with The Flash confirmed -- this one a musical.

Supergirl returns to The CW on Monday January 23, 2017.
