Fan Compares New DC Intro To Justice League Cartoon Intro & It's Amazing

Warner Bros. debuted a new DC Films bumper with Wonder Woman this weekend and fans of the old DC animated universe may have found the intro familiar.

The DC Films bumper features a series of 3D renderings of DC Comics characters in powerful poses before an entire group of DC Comics heroes come together at the end. This is very similar to the opening sequence for the Justice League cartoon that ran from 2001-2004 on Cartoon Network.

The introductions were so similar, in fact, that one fan decided to a side-by-side comparison of the two and the results speak for themselves. You can see the image below. Some concessions needed to be made of which characters were spotlighted – the cartoon's Wally West and John Stewart are replaced in the studio intro by Barry Allen (presumably) and Hal Jordan as the Flash and Green Lantern, respectively, and there's no spotlight for the show's Martian Manhunter or Hawkgirl – but the ideas behind both introductions and their executions seem to be very similar.

Justice League was created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini as the successor to Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated, continuing the characters and stories of the DC animated universe. The show featured Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl, and was eventually replaced by Justice League Unlimited, which was set in the same universe but featured a greatly expanded cast of characters.

Wonder Woman currently has an 88.36 ComicBook.com Composite Score. It also has a 4.42 out of 5 ComicBook.com user rating, making it the fourth-highest rated comic book movie ever among ComicBook.com readers.
