Dean Cain Comes Back to Supergirl In "Homecoming"

02/10/2017 08:11 pm EST

Dean Cain returns to Supergirl as Jeremiah Danvers in two weeks -- but things may not be as simple as all that.

In a newly-released synopsis from The CW, Mon-El wonders whether Supergirl's adoptive father can be trusted.

It's not an unreasonable question: after all, at one point Lillian Luthor had teased Kara that Jeremiah was no longer what he was, and that he wouldn't be loyal to her. When the chips were down, though, he helped Supergirl and Mon-El to escape from Cadmus and stayed behind, sacrificing his freedom for theirs...

...right?

It could theoretically all be a long game played by Luthor, Cadmus, Jeremiah, and whoever else is involved (perhaps Teri Hatcher's mystery big bad?).

You can check out the official synopsis below.

When Jeremiah Danvers (guest star Dean Cain) is rescued from Cadmus, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Kara (Melissa Benoist) are thrilled to have their father back.

The Danvers arrange a family dinner to celebrate but things go awry when a suspicious Mon-El (Chris Wood) starts to question Jeremiah about his sudden return.

Larry Teng directed the episode written by Caitlin Parrish & Derek Simon.
