Emily Bett Rickards Confirms Felicity Is Getting A New Boyfriend In Arrow Season 5

Rumor has it that Arrow's Felicity has a new man in Arrow Season 5. Emily Bett Rickards, the actress who plays Felicity, is ready to set that record straight.

"It is a true rumor," Rickards confirmed in a cast interview with TV Line at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016. "She steps on it pretty hot off the bat. You'll meet him quite quickly."

Felicity and Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, formed an ill-fated relationship, a.k.a. "Olicity," in Season 4. So how does the ex, Oliver, take the news of Felicity's new beau?

"I think he'll be fine," Amell joked. "I think he'll be fine. He will hug a pillow, much like I'm hugging a pillow right now, but he'll do it in private.

"Or the opposite of that," Amell continued. "We meet him in episode one, he dies in act four."

"And Felicity cries, and Oliver's there to cover the tears," Rickards added.

"'He got shot with an arrow in the head? Don't look at me,'" Amell adds, feigning playful ignorance.

Oliver has other problems beyond his love life in Season 5. Namely, there's a big bad that Oliver is responsible for creating, which will come as news to him.

"I mean, I feel like Oliver will react the way he always reacts," Amell teased jokingly. "He'll seek the advice of others, and be totally calm, and not react violently at all. Or whatever the opposite of that is."

The Arrow Season 5 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
