Exclusive Clip: Barry Finds the Speed Force in Tonight's Kevin Smith-Directed The Flash

The CW has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at tonight's episode of The Flash, titled "The Runaway Dinosaur" and directed by indie filmmaker and geek icon Kevin Smith.

In the clip, Barry finds himself talking to Joe -- but Joe is...not what he seems.

When it was announced that Smith would direct an episode of The Flash this season, tonight's installment immediately became one of the TV season's must-watch geek events.

With last week's massive cliffhanger -- which left Barry seemingly dead and both Wally West and Jesse Wells affected by the dark matter wave that passed through Barry when the particle accelerator exploded -- that anticipation has been cranked up to eleven.

"There was a moment where I was like, 'I'm gonna direct The Flash,' but then I got my script and then it was like, I got my script and 'He's dead, what do I do here?'" Smith joked during our interview with him yesterday.

The Flash airs Tuesday nights on The CW. You can catch "The Runaway Dinosaur" tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
