Zack Snyder is now world famous (or infamous) for his line of DC Films (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Justice League). But before Snyder was carving his way into blockbuster adaptations of DC Comics (300, Watchmen), he was first just trying ot break onto the movie scene - which he did in a big way, thanks to the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead.
Over the weekend, we lost movie making icon George A. Romero, creator of the original "Dead" zombie movie saga, including the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead. It's a death that has resonated throughout Hollywood (see below), but for Zack Snyder, the inspiration that Romero created was much more direct, and personal.

Taking to Twitter, Snyder shared the following thoughts on George Romero's legacy:
Romero helped Snyder craft the remake of Dawn of the Dead - even serving as co-writer of the script with Snyder. It's probably for that reason that Dawn of the Dead still stands as one of the best (and most fan-approved) remakes of all time - as well as being one of the least divisive in Snyder's filmography.
