Henry Cavill Is Making Sure He's Buffer Than The Green Lantern

When it comes to comic book movies, there are few casting as hotly anticipated as Cable and Green Lantern. Deadpool 2 will feature the former time-hopping mutant while the latter is slated to debut in the DC Extended Universe at any time. Rumors have hinted the hero's appearance will be as early as Justice League, but Warner Bros. will definitely bring the intergalactic character to life in the Green Lantern Corps movie. And, now, one of the DCEU's biggest stars is teasing fans about the hero once more.

Over on Instagram, Henry Cavill shared a photo with his followers about his on-going physical therapy. The actor suffered from a knee injury late last year and has been in recovery since. Today, it seems the actor had another grueling day at the gym for training, and Cavill wanted to let fans know why he was working so hard.

You can read up on Cavill's message below:

"Since I came off the ol knee injury I've been steadily increasing my training work load. I know it's irritating when people say this but it genuinely does feel so good to be back in it. I'm not destroying myself every day. Just working towards improvement by pushing hard enough to illicit change. Nothing funny to post here, it's deadly serious because I've got to make sure that I'm bigger than Green Lantern....Wait whaaat?"

If the last sentence caught you off-guard, then you are not the only one. The sudden twist had fans doing a double-take, and their laughter followed soon after. But, as always, their desire for more updates on Green Lantern is just as fervent as ever. The comic's solo film is a ways away for now, but many have hope casting for the project will drop sooner rather than later.

And, when it is, many expect Armie Hammer's name to be attached to one of the most famous Green Lanterns. Over the past months, the star has generously teased fans about his interest in the character. Cavill has also helped Hammer troll fans about Hal Jordan, and the latter star recently spoke about his possible involvement with the DC Extended Universe.

Currently, Hammer is also undergoing physical therapy as he was sidelined with an injury to his pectoral muscle. However, the blip is not deterring the actor from becoming Hal Jordan. The star told Screenrant at SXSW that he would not be hobbled forever, so fans in favor of the actor should pray for Hammer's speedy recovery.
