iZombie's Rahul Kohli Comes to Supergirl in "Ace Reporter" Synopsis

Supergirl will be bringing in a familiar face -- Rahul Kohli from iZombie -- to deal with some familiar source material -- an apparent riff on the "Truth" storyline from Action Comics that took place just before the end of The New 52 -- in "Ace Reporter," the April 24 episode of the show's second season.

You can check it out below.

Lena's (guest star Katie McGarth) ex-boyfriend, Jack Spheer (guest star Rahul Kohli), comes to National City to unveil his big breakthrough in nano-technology, which has the potential to eradicate all diseases. Lena asks Kara to attend Jack's conference with her for support. When Kara sees Snapper (guest Star Ian Gomez) in attendance she's inspired to tap back into her reporter skills and questions Jack on his discovery, which ultimately leads to a bigger investigation that puts everyone in danger.

Armen V. Kevorkian directed the episode written by Paula Yoo & Caitlin Parrish.

It's unlikely that Kara's identity will be revealed to the world at large, in spite of the image above, but after the dumb luck of Martian Manhunter helping Kara convince Cat Grant last season that she wasn't really Supergirl, it seems unlikely that same trick will happen twice -- especially with someone like Lena Luthor, who's not only smart, but recently was announced as returning as a season 3 regular.

All of this will seemingly happen while Kara is dealing with trying to figure out a new path forward for herself as a reporter now that she's been fired at CatCo.

"That's actually been very important to us, especially in the times we now find ourselves living in; we're one of the few shows on television that actually has a journalist as a lead character," showrunner Andrew Kreisberg told a group of journalists at a recent Supergirl screening. "We really get a chance to talk about the importance of journalism, and the importance of journalism ethics, and how important [it is to have] the objective truth be out there now."
