Geoff Johns Reassures Justice League Is Still Zack Snyder's Film

DC Entertainment knows full well how technology can be both a blessing and curse to filmmaking. Thanks to social media, films can be run into the ground before they even premiere, and social media puts a special sort of scrutiny upon the DCEU. When Justice League began its reshoots in London this month, netizens began squabbling over whether the additional shots were actually covering up for Justice League's lackluster finish. But, if you ask Geoff Johns about such speculation, he will let you know none of it's true.

Over on Twitter, the head of DC Entertainment reassured fans Justice League isn't being overhauled by Joss Whedon following Zack Snyder's recent leave. The creator inadvertently set fans at ease when he liked a fan's tweet which addressed the Justice League controversy.

A user by the name of Kal-El (Sheraz) tweeted, "Pretty sure [Geoff Johns] is trying to say fans need to shill out & stop buying every blogger's thoughts as facts. [Justice League] is still Zack's film." Johns then liked the message, and the DCEU fandom was left to breathe a sigh of relief.

Earlier today, Johns also put fans at ease about the Justice League reshoots with a trollish message. The producer responded to a tweet sent to him by a fake Joss Whedon profile. When the wannabe thanked Johns for letting him totally remake Justice League, the DC Entertainment honcho took it a step further.

"Did I mention we're going to put Spider-Man and Scooby Doo in it?" the executive wrote, leaving the Internet to balk and then laugh at the absurd joke.

For now, fans have no way of knowing what kind of reshoots are being done for Justice League, but the process is all part of filmmaking. Additional footage or tweaked scenes inevitably become needed as a final pictures takes its shape. Justice League needs to be given the time and space to find the mold its meant to fit into. So, DCEU fans should not be too surprised if Johns keeps on trolling fans until they get the message.
