Kent Farmhouse From Man Of Steel Gets Demolished

While Clark Kent might be impervious to harm, his farmhouse is anything but and the house that served as the Kent home in both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been torn down.

It should be noted that this is the second time it's been torn down, though, as the house was originally used in Man of Steel, and then was torn down in 2011. It was rebuilt for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the same process has been repeated. A local fan named Jess caught a few pictures of the now torn apart farmhouse, but did note that security is still monitoring the location (via Superman Homepage). You can view the pictures in the gallery.

That means that it will most likely serve as the location for Kent's longtime home once more, but it's unknown just when that next time will be. It could happen as early as the upcoming Justice League, and since that has already finished shooting, it would make sense for them to tear it down now. It could also mean that it is being torn down for the time being since the next logical chance to use it would be the upcoming Man of Steel 2. Since that film doesn't even have a release date yet, that lot might be barren for quite awhile.

Man of Steel 2 was recently leaked as "in active development". The source who leaked that information also said that "Superman is a top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance." We have a few ideas on what we would like to see in the upcoming sequel as well.

DC's next film will be the Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman, which hits theaters on June 2, 2017. After that's it's time for the team-up film many have been waiting for when Justice League lands in theaters on November 17, 2017.
