New Graffiti and Comic Book Inspired Suicide Squad Character Posters Released

Eleven new Suicide Squad posters were released by Warner Bros. today, perhaps to remind fans that there are a couple more movies from DC Films hitting theaters long before Justice League does on this day of JL movie news explosion.

The posters are very pop-art, with comicbook sound effects and graffiti style art all over the posters, each featuring a character. For the three pictured above: Joker, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot, this is the third individual character they've each had. For the other eight characters, these are the second spotlight posters.

Going down the list, Boomerang's poster features the character with a crazed look in his eyes, and the "BOW" sound effect plastered behind him. Croc's shows a hissing cobra and a KRASH effect. Deadshot's is covered in POW!s as he fires from his wrist gun. Diablo's poster features fire, blood, a grim reaper, and BLAF! Enchantress's poster is covered in the black goo we've seen on the miscellaneous troopers in trailers - and is notably silent. Harley has a "MM!" as she stands smiling, brightly colored blobby clouds and such all over. Joker, predictably, has lots of "HAHAHA" along with an eyeball with wings on it. Creepy. Katana has her signature sword along with a smaller blade. There's a bubble with "!!?+-" in it, but no sound effects to speak of. A rising sun is in the background as well. Rick Flag has a BANG! and an OOOOO, along with arrows in a bullseye and planes soaring overhead. Slipknot is armored up, with BLAM BLAM BLAM and smoke covering much of his image.Finally, Amanda Waller looks fierce and unphased while a crow SKRAKKKs behind her and a CRASH! takes the foreground.

Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5, 2016.
