Stephen Amell Reminds Fans What He Will Look Like First Day Of Arrow Season 6

Arrow star Stephen Amell wants fans to know that he remembers the promise he made about season six.

Back in 2015, Amell tweeted that if the veteran DC superhero series were to get a sixth season, he would show up on the first day looking like a comics-accurate Green Arrow, complete with the masterfully-groomed goatee.

"I'll be asked to shave immediately, but still," he added later. He also admitted that he had once tried to grow a goatee during the show's second season but that it made him look "like someone with a record trying to blend into a new city."

In spite of all that, it was Amell, not the playful Arrow writers room account or one of his co-stars, who shared the 2015 tweet, so don't be too surprised if in the weeks leading up to this fall's season premiere, we get a look at Amell with the goatee.

It would be a lot more surprising, frankly, if we see it on Arrow, though.

A few months after that original 2015 tweet, ComicBook.com ran a story asking whether we might see the goatee onscreen in Arrow season 4.

"100% no. Never. Our show could go 14 seasons and a goatee will never appear. Hope that clears things up. Forever," Amell tweeted in response.

Back in May, the star posted an image of himself in a beard to social media, quoting himself saying the will never grow the goatee and then also quoting himself, "Please remember that I'm an idiot."
