Supergirl: How Will Jeremiah React to Alex Having A Girlfriend?

Maggie hates Valentine's Day! At first, she told Alex it was because the romantic holiday is designed to sell cards, flowers, and candy, but wasn't entirely the truth. She later revealed that when she was 14-years-old, she realized that she was gay and had feeling for her best friend. She hoped it was mutual, so she declared her love for her friend on Valentine's Day, sharing her feelings in a letter, but said friend didn't feel the same and handed the letter to her parents, who in turn gave the letter to Maggie's folks.

And although she previously told Alex that her family was cool with her being gay, Maggie revealed in a very emotional scene that she lied. Her parents actually kicked her out of the house, and she had to go live with her aunt for three years.

In this Monday's episode, Jeremiah Danvers (Dean Cain), will be reunited with his whole family for the first time in years, and it will feature Alex coming out to her father and introducing him to her girlfriend.

"It's one of these moments where you see Alex, one by one, having to cross this road and see how people react," Leigh told EW. "She hasn't seen him in over a decade and, 'Guess what? I'm gay!' It's great. His reaction is so wonderful. It's a great, sweet, endearing moment: 'OK, I'm being accepted for where I am.'"

When Jeremiah Danvers (guest star Dean Cain) is rescued from Cadmus, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Kara (Melissa Benoist) are thrilled to have their father back.

The Danvers arrange a family dinner to celebrate but things go awry when a suspicious Mon-El (Chris Wood) starts to question Jeremiah about his sudden return.
