The Girl of Tomorrow is set to return, and she's going to put her city on her back.

In promotion of the Season Three premiere of Supergirl, The CW just unveiled a new poster featuring Kara Danvers front and center. And it includes an interesting tagline in the wake of the Season Two events: "Flying Solo."

Check out the poster below.

After successfully fighting thwarting the Daxamite invasion of Earth in the Season Two finale, Kara's boyfriend Mon-El was forced to abandon the planet due to the atmosphere being filled with lead, which is harmful to his species.

Those events seem to put a damper on Kara's mood for the new season, as evidenced by the trailer for the season premiere in which she dives headlong into her duties as the protector of National City.

Supergirl actor Melissa Benoist previously spoke about the character pushing the 'human' side of her life aside after suffering the heartbreak, committing to superheroics in an attempt to shield her vulnerabilities.

"The tone is definitely different this season." Benoist previously said to ComicBook.com during San Diego Comic-Con. "Obviously things were not so great for Kara at the end of season 2, having to send Mon-El into we don't know where. He went into a chasm in space. But it's definitely going to affect her."

Though she might not want to focus on her personal life, a mystery from her childhood will cause Kara to go on a road trip with her sister Alex, played by Chyler Leigh, in an episode early in the season.

But don't expect Mon-El to stay gone forever; producers are guarding the subject but they did reveal that actor Chris Wood is not leaving the show and will return in some capacity.

We'll find out how Supergirl deals with the pressures of being a solo superhero when the show returns to The CW on Monday, October 9.
