The Flash: New Poster Teases Gorilla Grodd, Flash Showdown

02/22/2017 07:23 pm EST

If you're currently eagerly anticipating the conclusion of The Flash's two-part Gorilla Grodd arc, a newly-released poster will get you even more excited.

Last night's episode of the network's hit show saw Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), and Julian Albert (Tom Felton) traveling to Earth-2's African jungle in search for Harry Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Their journey led them to Gorilla City, where Barry battled the lead gorilla Solovar, before the team ultimately outsmarted Grodd and escaped back to Earth-1. But in doing so, not only did they place Grodd in power, but they left the ape hell-bent on seeking vengeance on Earth-1.

The poster, which you can see below, was shared by David Sobolov, who has voiced Grodd throughout The Flash's three seasons.

The poster teases the concluding episode in the two-part event, 'Attack on Central City.' It shows the Scarlet Speedster staring down Grodd, who is now sporting his newly-acquired armor.

And, as has been done throughout the various advertisements surrounding the ape's appearances on the show, the tagline opts for a play on words with "May Grodd Have Mercy."

If you enjoyed 'Attack on Gorilla City', be sure to rate it below!

"THE EPIC CONCLUSION TO THE TWO-PART BATTLE WITH GRODD – When Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) and his army of gorillas bring the battle to Earth-1, The Flash (Grant Gustin) and team must find a way to stop them before they destroy Central City. Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) returns to join the fight. Meanwhile, Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) decides she wants to stay with Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) on Earth-1."

Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Todd Helbing and teleplay by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes.
