The Flash "Shade" Ratings Rise To Season Premiere Levels

The latest episode of The Flash delivered fans the first glimpse of Savitar, and it turns out a healthy amount of people witnessed that thanks to the resurgent ratings bump "Shade" received.

The episode brought in 3 million viewers and ranked 1.2 in the key demo. That is an 8% bump in viewership from last week's episode and a 20% bump in the demo. In fact, "Shade" delivered the best ratings since the heavily anticipated "Flashpoint" premiere (via TV Line).

Ratings will hopefully remain strong for the upcoming "Killer Frost" episode, as not only does it feature the return of a popular villain, but this episode is being directed by fan favorite Kevin Smith. Smith's directorial effort last season was well received, and many are hopeful that this latest episode will do the same. You can catch the official synopsis for the episode below.

"KEVIN SMITH DIRECTS; KILLER FROST EMERGES — Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) uses her powers to save Barry (Grant Gustin) but as her mother predicted, the effort unleashes her inner Killer Frost. Killer Frost goes on a rampage looking for Dr. Alchemy, kidnapping Julian (Tom Felton) and battling both The Flash and Vibe (Carlos Valdes). Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) have a heart to heart"
Kevin Smith directed the episode with story by Judalina Neira and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Brooke Roberts.

Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Supergirl), Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, The Flash), Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow) and Aaron and Todd Helbing.
