Darren Criss Gets Kissed By The Flash

03/21/2017 07:17 pm EDT

The highly-anticipated musical crossover between The Flash and Supergirl is finally airing tonight, and one of the episode's guest stars posted a rather cheeky photo to celebrate.

Darren Criss, who plays the villainous Music Meister in 'Duet', shared a photo on his Twitter account earlier today, showing him pretending to be kissed by the empty cowls of both Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) and last season's big bad, Zoom, while in the show's makeup trailer.

Of course, given the role of Criss' character in the episode, it's safe to assume that things won't be as positive between him and the Scarlet Speedster. After showing up on last night's Supergirl to put Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) under a spell, he stole her inter-dimensional traveling technology and opened a breach to Earth-1, with a goal of defeating Barry Allen. As already-released promos for the episode have shown, Music Meister succeeds, trapping Barry and Kara inside the world of a movie musical.

The picture is a sort of funny coincidence for fans of the last time that Criss and Gustin shared the screen together on Glee. While their two characters were often at odds, they had a bit of romantic tension as well, with Gustin's character often pursuing Criss'.

Are you excited for 'Duet'? Check out the official synopsis below.

DARREN CRISS ("GLEE") GUEST STARS AS THE MUSIC MEISTER IN THE FLASH AND SUPERGIRL MUSICAL CROSSOVER – Barry (Grant Gustin) and team are surprised when Mon-El (guest star Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (guest star David Harewood) arrive on their Earth carrying a comatose Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist) who was whammied by the Music Meister (guest star Darren Criss). Unable to wake her up, they turn to Team Flash to save her.

However, the Music Meister surprises The Flash and puts him in a similar coma, one that Team Flash can't cure. Kara and Barry wake up without their powers in an alternate reality where life is like a musical and the only way to escape is by following the script, complete with singing and dancing, to the end.

Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.
