WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR GOTHAM SEASON 3 FINALE!

Gotham ended its third season with a bang, and it looks like the Batman origin series has revealed its Big Bad for next installment. Solomon Grundy has arrived.

The longtime Batman villain is a giant inhuman zombie who takes to terrorizing the city on occasion. Those who may no know Grundy from the comics may remember him as a playable character in the DC video game, Injustice: Gods Among Us.

As it turns out, the human version of Grundy has been on Gotham since the beginning. In a shocking twist in the last few minutes of the finale, it is revealed that Butch's real name is Cyrus Gold, the alter-ego of Solomon Grundy.

Earlier in the episode, Barbara learns that Butch and Tabitha are plotting to kill her. After confronting Butch, Barbara decides to shoot him in the head. It seemed like the guy was dead to rights, as audiences watched the bullet hit him in the forehead.

However, Butch is later seen in a hospital bed, with a bandage over the bullet wound. He has a feeding tube going down his throat, oxygen being fed into his nostrils, basically saying that he's brain-dead.

Two doctors stand beside him, talking about the gangster. After one says that his name is Butch, the other sounds confused. The claims that Butch "must have changed his name" at some point, because his file has his name listed as Cyrus Gold.

The audience can clearly see the name printed in bold letters on the file.

It looks like Butch is set to come back as a zombie, and Solomon Grundy is going to raise some hell in Gotham City.
