Gal Gadot Reveals New Wonder Woman Poster

It seems like we've been waiting forEVER for Wonder Woman to get her own movie. The last of DC's trinity made her big screen debut in a film headlined by her male counterparts in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and we've been waiting for the solo film ever since.

Well, the wait is almost over as we are fast approaching its June release. The film is currently ranked the 11th Most Anticipated Film by ComicBook.com readers.

Next week stars Gal Gadot and Chris Pine are set to reveal a brand new trailer at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. And now Gadot just unveiled a wonderful new poster for the film on her Twitter account.

The poster continues the theme of other one sheets, which prominently display the character with the words "Wonder," "Power," or "Courage." However, this one takes the scope a bit back, giving Diana of Thymiscera a bit of distance, making her seem much more stoic amid the beautiful backdrop.

UP NEXT: Steve Trevor's Role Revealed

It's a striking poster, making wonderful use of bold coloring.

On it, Diana kneels amid a sandy beach. It's unclear whether she's on the shores of her home island or elsewhere.

DC and Warner Bros. know how to market their movies, but all three entries in their current shared superhero universe have been met with mixed response. Let's hope Wonder Woman is the first film with a consensus of being awesome. All signs are pointing toward a great movie at this point. And if any character deserves a strong step out of the opening gates, it's Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman, directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot as Diana, Princess of Themyscira, is in post-production now for a June 2, 2017 release.
