Tonight at the MTV Movie and TV Awards, Warner Bros. released a new trailer for Wonder Woman.

With less than a month left until release, this will likely be the final trailer for the highly-anticipated DC Comics feature film.

Wonder Woman will be the fourth film in the DC Extended Universe. Gal Gadot debuted as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where she joined the other two members of the DC Comics Trinity, Batman and Superman, in battling the monster called Doomsday.

The new Wonder Woman movie will flashback to Princess Diana's earlier days living on the island of Themyscira with the Amazons to reveal how she became the hero known as Wonder Woman and left Paradise to defend the world of man.

Wonder Woman began filming in November 2015 and wrapped filming in May 2016.

Wonder Woman currently has a 4.05 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating, making it the ninth most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers. Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that's raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, with a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, from a story by Heinberg & Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner, and David Thewlis.

Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston for DC Comics. She made her first appearance in All Star Comics #8 in 1941 and has gone on to become a feminist icon and one of DC Comics' most beloved and recognizable characters. Though she had a popular television series in the 1970s starring Lynda Carter, the Wonder Woman movie will be the character's first time headlining a film.

Wonder Woman opens in theaters in the United States and the UK on June 2, 2017.
