Parent Finds Creative Use for Massive Snorlax Bean Bag Chair

Last year, ThinkGeek released a massive Snorlax bean bag chair that quickly became a "must have" for any Pokemon fan with $150 to spare and plenty of space in their house. However, there were probably a few fans who were turned off by the bean bag chair's high cost and the fact that bean bag chairs haven't been in vogue in over 20 years.

Luckily, one innovative Poke-parent found a hilarious use for the Snorlax bean bag chair. April King posted a picture of the Snorlax bean bag chair to Twitter blocking her staircase, along with an explanation that it's turned into an impromptu baby gate.

While ThinkGeek didn't intend for the giant Snorlax to be used as a baby blocker, the Internet seems to love the idea. At the time of publication, King's tweet had gotten over 2,000 retweets and 5,000 likes.

The bean bag chair does measure four feet tall, so Snorlax probably would make a formidable opponent for any toddler.

King followed up her viral tweet with a picture of her daughter lounging on the Snorlax, showing that there's no ill-will between the young girl and her giant Pokemon warden.

The Snorlax bean bag quickly sold out at ThinkGeek last year, though it is available for pre-order at Gamestop in case any parents out there are in need of an unconventional baby gate when babyproofing their home.
