Agent Carter Executive Producer Asks For Fan Support In Getting Show Renewed
05/12/2016 05:28 pm EDT
Executive producer and co-showrunner Tara Butters is asking for fans to rally today to support Agent Carter. The show's renewal decision is likely to come in the next twenty-four hours, she tweeted out today.
"#AgentCarter fans today or tomorrow we will probably learn our fate. Tweet your support it can't hurt," she said. She also reminded fans to hashtag #AgentCarter and #ABC.
As pilot season began to wind down at the start of the month, Agent Carter was considered "highly unlikely" to return. The show saw decreased ratings and total viewers with its second season, and that season alone was seen as a slightly unlikely renewal. Throw in the fact that star Hayley Atwell has a new series at ABC likely to get picked up, and things aren't looking ideal there.
Still, if Butters says there's hope, then there's hope, and it's worth getting out there and sharing support.
