Agents Of SHIELD Fans Should Be Worried About FitzSimmons' Future

Don't expect wedding bells to be ringing for FitzSimmons next season.

Even though it was his LMD talking, we learned that Fitz was on the verge of proposing to Simmons before they ended up in the Framework. Since she volunteer to go into the alternate reality, her love for him hasn't wavered. Although, she did seem peeved with Fitz that he wasn't eager to come up with a solution to killing Aida, suggesting he still harbored strong feeling for the former android that manipulated him into loving her, carrying out deadly and inhumane experiments on Inhumans, shooting Agnes in cold-blood, being responsible for The Patriot's death, and hunting down and torturing his teammates.

The consequences of his Framework actions won't go away overnight, and even though his girlfriend and the rest of the team forgave him, Fiz is ready to forgive himself yet.

"It's safe to say that he's not over it yet," EP Jed Whedon told EW. "Everybody now has some sort of pain, some sort of darkness in their past. We know how hard Fitz is on himself, and he was the worst kind of person in the Framework, so I don't think that's something you get over right away."
