An angry god is a petty god.

After being left out of the superhero skirmishes in Captain America: Civil War, the God of Thunder will pal around with the Hulk in the third film of his solo franchise. But after Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters this November, fans can expect to see the character return to this squad in next year's Avengers: Infinity War.

In a recent video posted to Hemsworth's Instagram page, Hemsworth stumbles across a "secret Avengers rehearsal" on the set of Infinity War, where the directors Joe and Anthony Russo have assembled a table full of action figures. Watch the video above!

Once Hemsworth realizes his character of Thor is not a part of the massive group, he summons Mjolnir and begins playing a game of "Whack-A-Hero." After insulting a few different characters for various reasons, he leaves both the Winter Soldier and the Falcon figures standing while grabbing his "mate" Hulk before walking away.

While it's obvious Hemsworth is having some fun, we'd be remiss if we didn't analyze the potential implications or hints the actor could be providing.

There's been a lot of speculation about the state of the Avengers after the events of their battle with Thanos, due to contractual obligations being fulfilled and the evolving state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Could Hemsworth be hinting at a new Avengers team being formed? One with Falcon, Winter Soldier, Hulk, and Thor?

Or maybe he's hinting at his character becoming a giant and smashing everyone else with his hammer. That seems less likely.

Or maybe we're reading to deep into yet another funny video made by Hemsworth to tide us over while we wait for Avengers: Infinity War.

Either way, the actor just made us even more excited for the forthcoming Marvel Studios team up film.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain."

Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos. Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel are filming back-to-back for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release, respectively.
