Avengers: Infinity War Nearly Finished With Production

A lot of new photographs featuring some of the biggest players in the latest Avengers movie have been trickling out over the last week, but that could mean that production is winding down for the Marvel Studios crossover film.

The production of Avengers: Infinity War has taken the cast and crew across the globe ever since it began in January but principal photography might be wrapping soon, giving the crew a break before they begin shooting the next untitled Avengers film on July 27.

The news comes courtesy of Joe Passori, an Atlanta-based paparazzo who constantly updates his Twitter account with local production news. Passori has a pretty good track record with his production updates, but it should also be noted that the official production is supposed to wrap on July 14. However, the bigger cast members might be done with their work until the end of the month.

The second units could be taking care of some of the bigger effects-heavy or stunt-based sequences in Atlanta during this time, as is typical for a Marvel Studios blockbuster.

With Avengers 4 set to begin production at the end of July, the Russos work will be cut out for them as they get everything in order for Avengers: Infinity War's May 4 release date in 2018, all while dealing with additional photography (or reshoots).

But Marvel Studios has proven to be a machine capable of dealing with multiple productions, churning out cohesive films that audiences love.

It'll be interesting to see how independent the next to Avengers films remain while being parts of a whole, telling a complete story. It's definitely the Russo Brothers' biggest task to date, and one has to wonder if they'll be up for the challenge.

We'll find out when Avengers: Infinity War premieres May 4, 2018.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos.
