Deadpool 2 Shooting Start Date Revealed

Despite all of the production woes and casting rumors that have plagued the Deadpool sequel before filming even began, it seems that progress on the movie is going pretty well.

And even though star Ryan Reynolds has yet to announce which actors he'll share the screen with, new details seem to confirm that Deadpool 2—currently the 10th Most Anticipated Film on ComicBook with a 4.06-of-5 rating —is set to start shooting later this year.

Cameras are set to start rolling in Vancouver on May 1 for the movie with the working title Love Machine. These reports have been corroborated by Omega Underground after the production listing popped up on casting site My Entertainment World.

Rumors have been swirling around regarding who will play Domino and Cable. Kerry Washington's name was the latest to pop up, and when asked about it she neither confirmed nor denied whether she was up for the role of the lucky mutant mercenary.

Pierce Brosnan's name has been brought up multiple times with regards to playing Cable, seemingly bolstered by social media posts of the actor hanging out with both Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, whose final Wolverine film Logan releases next month.

After Tim Miller exited the project, 20th Century Fox brought on John Wick director David Leitch to helm the film.

So far only Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Karan Soni's Dopinder (the badass taxi driver) have been announced as returning for the second film—other than Reynolds, of course—but we should learn more as production gears up for May 1.

If you've been meaning to place a bet on who'll be cast as Cable, you better get to your bookie sooner than later.
