Defenders-Heavy Marvel Legends Wave Revealed By Hasbro

Nine weeks from today marks the moment that we'll see the likes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist join together in live action for the first as they team up for The Defenders.

Capitalizing on the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe show to hit Netflix, Hasbro has unveiled a Defenders-based wave to their wildly popular Marvel Legends line of action figures.

This wave includes six figures, four based off of Netflix characters and two based on the comics. Coming from the Netflix corner of the MCU are Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and Elektra. The pair from the comics includes the vampire hunter Blade and one of Daredevil's primary adversaries — Bullseye.

Arguably the coolest part of this wave? With each wave of Marvel Legends, every figure comes with a certain part of a larger seventh figure, called the Build A Figure part of the wave. In the case of this wave, each of the six figures in this wave contains a part to build a Man Thing figure, and it sure is badass.

With the second Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and first Spider-Man: Homecoming waves just beginning to hit stores across the globe, toy collectors can expect the Defenders-based wave to start filtering out sometime this Fall, around the debut of The Defenders on Netflix.

Marvel's The Defenders is developed by Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez. The miniseries will also feature Sigourney Weaver as the villain, Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver), and several recurring guest stars from Marvel's Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones, Marvel's Luke Cage, and Marvel's Iron Fist, including Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Scott Glenn as Stick, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing.

The Defenders premieres on Netflix August 18.
