Doctor Strange already claimed the title of Marvel Studios' highest-grossing single-character debut movie so far by surpassing the originally Iron Man at the box office. Now it seems that even the combined might of Iron Man and War Machine can't hold back the Sorcerer Supreme.

As of this weekend, Doctor Strange has earned $634.9 million globally at the box office. That's enough to put Marvel Studios' latest film ahead of the $624 million earned in Iron Man 2's box office.

Doctor Strange's international total now rests at $419.6 million, which just barely passes the lifetime international total of 20th Century Fox's upstart success Deadpool. It is worth noting though that Doctor Strange is playing in theaters in China, a market that Deadpool never visited. Deadpool's overall total of $783 million is also well ahead of Doctor Strange's.

If Doctor Strange is to continue climbing the Marvel Studios success ladder, then the next film in line to fall is Thor: The Dark World. Marvel Studios' second Thor film grossed a lifetime global total of $645 million.
