Ghost Rider Featured In New Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 Cast Photos

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about ready to return to ABC, and it seems like Phil Coulson's squad has finally reassembled.

Most of the talk leading up to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 has surrounded Ghost Rider's arrival and Quake's defection. Now the spotlight has finally landed on the actual Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel Television and ABC have released new cast photos promoting Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4. The photos do include a new look at Gabriel Luna as Ghost Rider, but also our first good looks at the returning heroes of the series, including Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Henry Simmons as Mack, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, and Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge as FtizSimmons.

Also appearing in the photos is Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Yo-Yo Rodriguez, an Inhuman and a member of Daisy Johnson's Secret Warriors team from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3. Daisy herself, played by Chloe Bennet and now with the name Quake, also appears in the photos. Despite having left S.H.I.E.L.D. at the end of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3, she's seen here in S.H.I.E.L.D.-issued Quake costume and gauntlets. Perhaps this hints at a homecoming for Daisy early in the season.

Speaking of costumes, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D costume designer Ann Foley spoke to ComicBook.com earlier in the week Quake's runaway look, how the Sokovia Accords have affected the team's look for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, and how she managed to make Ghost Rider look so true to the source material.

In Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, in light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack, and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. Agent May is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz and Simmons have taken a big step forward in their relationship.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. Check out the cast photos in the gallery below.
