Guardians Of The Galaxy Easter Egg No One Noticed Revealed By James Gunn

The fact that Guardians of the Galaxy is now almost 2 years old and yet still has undiscovered easter eggs is rather impressive. We can add one more to the extensive list, though, involving everyone's favorite ancient tree Groot.
On his Facebook page, Director James Gunn showed off an unfinished frame from the film, depicting the ragtag group of adventurers in a Last Supper-like setup. The artist involved with the film finished the frame and sent it to Gunn as a gift, but it isn't the only Christ-like reference the film made.
In the comments, Gunn revealed yet another nod to Christ, after commenter Tim Clodfelter stated: "Groot can be his own cross!"
"If you watch the end of the movie you'll see that as well," said Gunn. An Easter egg no one has seemed to notice (no not the one I've been talking about)."
It still isn't the big one he's been teasing, but it's one I didn't realize was in the film. Guardians is evidentally the gift that keeps on giving.
