Is Baron Von Strucker Coming To Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

There's an interesting guest star buried in the log line for this week's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Henry Goodman will play Dr. Levy, a character we've actually seen before. Levy was part of the post-credits scene for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, though we didn't know his name. He was just the guy that had the job of listening to Baron von Strucker's speech about this being the "age of miracles."

Here it is again, if you need a refresher:

So could Levy's presence be a bit of foreshadowing? As one of Strucker's minions, could Levy's presence signal that Strucker will eventually be appearing on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Thomas Kretschmann is not listed as a guest star, so he likely won't be seen in "Aftershocks," but perhaps in the future. After all, with Whitehall dead, Hydra needs to grow a new head, right?

Of course, Strucker is a pretty big deal. In the comics, he's one of Captain America's oldest enemies and one of Hydra's core inner circle members. He was already mentioned, briefly, during one episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.Season 2, so maybe they've been foreshadowing his coming all along.

It would certainly be a strong way to tie Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. into Avengers: Age of Ultron. And, of course we'd have to wonder if he'd bring the Twins along. We'll just have to wait and see.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., "Aftershocks," airs Tuesday, March 3 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
