Legion: Dan Stevens Says More 'Entities Within David' To Be Revealed In Season 2

The first season of Legion offered audiences a much more psychologically bizarre comic book show than many were used to, as its lead character has many entities residing within him. For those fans who really connected with the compelling story, star Dan Stevens recently revealed to Comicbook.com that there's plenty more weirdness where that came from, which, of course, means many more characters within David's head coming to life.

When asked if the upcoming season would explore the wide range of David's powers, Stevens explained, "I think so, we haven't even really scratched the surface of the number of characters or entities that are contained within Legion. The Shadow King was obviously one of them, and a large part, but there's a lot more going on."

The actor also hinted at how much the show will incorporate elements from the Marvel comics upon which the show is based, which have explored the character's quirks for years.

Stevens notes, "Anyone who knows the comics knows the scope of the world in which its set, so there's a lot more to dig out of his head."

We'll learn more about the just what type of beings David will conjure when Legion returns with Season 2 premiere in 2018.

Legion is the story of a troubled young man who may be more than human. It introduces the story of David Haller, who since he was a teenager, has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he's confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.

Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey), Rachel Keller (Fargo), Jean Smart (Fargo), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Jeremie Harris (A Walk Among the Tombstones), Amber Midthunder (Hell or High Water), Katie Aselton (The League) and Bill Irwin (Interstellar) star in Legion.

Noah Hawley (Fargo) serves as an Executive Producer along with Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Deadpool), Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse, Superman Returns), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Martian), Jeph Loeb (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel's Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones), Jim Chory (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel's Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones) and John Cameron (Fargo, The Big Lebowski). Legion is the latest project from Hawley and Cameron, two of the Executive Producers of the Emmy and Golden Globe -winning FX limited series Fargo.
