Marvel's Defenders Argue On Twitter About Who Runs NYC

Marvel's The Defenders is streaming now, but Netflix and Marvel are continuing their popular, in-character Twitter marketing campaign with an argument over who rules New York City.
It began with a simple tweet from a fan who quoted Colleen Wing's (Jessica Henwick) line from the first episode of The Defenders, where she tells Iron Fist (Finn Jones) that the beauty of New York City is that it can be whatever you need it to be.
The Iron Fist Twitter account responded, saying "Yes, I agree. New York has become my home once more."
Daredevil's Twitter account apparently took exception to this, tweeting, "Hold on. This is my city."
The Luke Cage Twitter account stepped in with some wisdom, tweeting, "Might want to try that again. It's everyone's city."
The interaction between the Defenders ended there, though there were some more tweets involving the fan. In the end, everyone is happy as long as New York City doesn't fall under the control of the Hand.
This is hardly the first time that the Defenders have had a friendly Twitter altercation. The Jessica Jones Twitter account stayed out of this particular discourse, but she shut down Iron Fist just yesterday.
We thought Marvel's The Defenders was worth the wait. Let us know what you thought Marvel and Netflix's superhero crossover by giving The Defenders your own rating below.
Marvel's The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
Marvel's The Defenders is now streaming on Netflix.
