Marvel's One-Shots May Be Returning According To Tom Holland

It has been awhile since Marvel Studios put out a new One-Shot, and fans are ready to see the shorts return. Iron Man 3 was the last MCU feature to hit home video with a straight-to-DVD short film. But, if Tom Holland is right, then Marvel Studios may be gearing up to revive the unique film series for fans.

Recently, Holland has been out-and-about doing interviews for Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actor sat down to chat with Uproxx about the feature, and it was during the interview where Holland accidentally let a Marvel teaser slip. The actor told the site he really wanted to team up with Ant-Man on screen, saying, ""I want to do a short. That's what I want to do. I want to do a 20-minute short with me and Paul Rudd."

Chiming in, the site reminded Holland Marvel Studios did used to make shorts for its films. "Yeah," the actor said. "I think they are planning on doing it again." It didn't take long for the actor to realize his slip, saying, "I probably just spoiled a big spoiler. Kevin Feige's probably going to be furious."

Of course, fans of the MCU would be stoked to hear about the return of Marvel's One-Shots. The series began back in 2011 with The Consultant. The clip explained just why Tony Stark winds up meeting with General Thaddeus Ross following the events of The Incredible Hulk. Another short titled A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer, a film which follows Phil Coulson as he tries to make his way to Mjolnir.

In total, there are five One-Shots which feature a range of characters. If Marvel Studios were to pick the series back up, they could spend more time giving its massive superhero roster throwaway stories which pair them up. For instance, a short about Spider-Man and Ant-Man being 'bug bros' would be like a fan-fiction come to life, and fans are more than down for the prospect. So, please, Kevin Feige! Make the One-Shots return!

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, and Hannibal Buress.
