Here's How Marvel's Wolverine/Hulk Hybrid Was Created

The Weapon X program has been a thorn in the X-Men's side for years, but their latest project doesn't just threaten mutantkind, and might be their most dangerous creation ever.

Spoilers incoming for Weapons of Mutant Destruction Alpha, so if you haven't read the issue yet you've been warned.

As fans have seen in previous issues of Weapon X, the organization has been abducting characters like Lady Deathstrike, Warpath, and a stray piece of Logan in an attempt to splice together an even more powerful creation. You would think that's enough, but since then they've gone after the incredible Hulk as well, and you can see the results of their efforts on the issue's final page (via ScreenRant).

Weapon X has been accepting volunteers to experiment on, and while they aren't there quite yet, it's only a matter of time until they solve the riddle of creating their own Hulk Wolverine hybrid. The early tests didn't go so well if the tubes are to be believed, but bigger forms can be seen towards the end of the line, looking much closer to the Hulk fans know.

The reason for that is a previous attack on Amadeus Cho. With the help of WLogan and his merry band they got rid of Weapon X's drones, but not before they got some samples of his blood, and that is all they needed.

Weapon X's latest soldiers were hard enough to handle for Logan's ragtag group, and that group includes some of the deadliest killers in the Marvel Universe. If this latest version gets off the ground, well, you better find cover.

But with an army of genetic cyborgs at their disposal, this may just be the beginning…
