Michael Rosenbaum just can't get enough of comic book roles. The actor who once played Lex Luthor on Smallville is ready to jump back into a Marvel role he took on more recently.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Rosenbaum made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Martinex, a character from the classic Guardians of the Galaxy roster. Now, he is ready for more according to a recent tweet in response to a conversation he had with geek community icon Kevin Smith.

"Love @ThatKevinSmith," Rosenbaum wrote. "One of the most genuine guys in the biz. Great chat. Hope you're right and [Guardians of the Galaxy director] @JamesGunn brings me & @TheSlyStallone back."

Gunn has previously promised we will see more of Rosenbaum's Martinex and Sylvester Stallone's Starhawk characters, along with the rest of the classic Guardians, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 promises to be the final iteration involving the current roster of Star-Lord, Gamora, Mantis, Drax, Rocket and Groot.

With Captain Marvel taking place in the '90s while also involving a character heavily influenced by cosmos, it is possible for Brie Larson's new character to cross paths with the classic Guardians roster, including Yondu, prior to their banishing of the Ravager fans came to love in the Guardians films.
