Sigourney Weaver Stars In New Set Photos From The Defenders

The filming of Marvel's newest Netflix series, The Defenders, is now underway. The show will act as a sort of Avengers-level team-up series, as it will be the culmination of several stand-alone series' on the streaming service.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist have all received their own series, and The Defenders will see the heroes come together for the first time.

Not a lot is known about the project, but it was been confirmed that legendary actress Sigourney Weaver will be portraying the villain of the series. She was seen in one of the first Defenders photos - released in the last couple of weeks - but a new collection of set photos containing her character has surfaced online.

The new pictures show Weaver's character in a classic villain pose - staring out of the backseat of a black car. Whether she has pulled up to intimidate a hero, or she's telling one of her goons what to do, the character looks menacing.

Well, she looks menacing until that bright smile lights up a behind-the-scenes shot.
